The grimy damp floor was nothing in comparison to the crumbling walls and crys of the threatening ceiling above him. It was nothing to how he felt within; endless in the pitch black around him.
Or rather, he would have felt that way had he not seem a partition in his solitude; a basement niche leading to the outside camp. He cautiously made his way through the rubble up to it, squinting as the stark contrast bit at his eyes. No doubt did prisoners try escaping through her at one point, though judging by the size of the hole, not even a child could pry their way through the darkness he currently stood in.
It was truly a tease he deducted, and went on.

Hey guys, yesterday I conned (Though I'm so happy you guys did this XD; ) and into pseudo dressing up like Rune and Haydn and went to Fort Hayes to take some inspiration shots to help me along with my comic. This was one of my favorite shots by far and I'll upload a few more once I get the time.
I really like how you can see a glimse from the outside world, but it's too bright to really see anything. Great angle for the face, and how the light only illuminates part of him. I also like how your story talks about pepole trying to claw their way out and the edges of the hole are bent inward, like someone really was trying to pry the hole large enough for them!
If I were the rain that binds together the earth and sky, who in all of eternity will never mingle, would I be able to bind the hearts of people together?
I love the likeness of the character that was captured in this one! (Also forgive my grammar, I woke up like five minutes ago xD)

"okay, a mini rant on narration- if your art is so shit that you need to narrate every panel so the reader can tell what's happening, there is something wrong. //rant"
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
