I did this doodle of Bailong / Makoto when he came home yesterday. Incase your unfamiliar with the dog, I got him a little over a year ago and named him after the character I’ve held dear for a long while now.
The little pug has gone through a lot in his life already. He has had major spinal surgey, several X-ray’s and and MRI. We found out when he was getting fixed that his Belly button hernia was infact NOT a hernia, but it was his lower intestines.
You can view the image here (I already posted it on Tumblr but I wanted to keep it in a link since it is kinda gorey):
Needless to say, Mako’s surgery was certainly a bit more then it normally would to neuter a dog (A grand). Amanda and myself love this dog more then anything, but he is sort of killing our bank accounts. So I wanted to remind everyone about the Makoto pin!
We sell these buttons at conventions and they have been doing very well! Each purchase of the Makoto pin will go towards paying off his current bills and hopefully be able to help cover any other further medical attention that may be needed in the future. They are 2 dollars each if you’re interested!
While Mako is a frankinpug, we still love him dearly and wish him nothing more then a long and happy life. If you haven’t purchased a button yet, please do so! And if you can’t afford one, please FAV this and hopefully all the pug lovers will be made aware of this situation.
Man, this puppy has just gone through hell and back again. I'm glad he's living with y'all and getting love and care. Next con I see you at, I'll have to buy a bunch of pins.
my condolences Julie, i understand how it goes when you have a furry family member who is in constant need of medical attention. right after his first birthday one of my golden retriever puppies got diagnosed with Addison's Disease, which i guess is extremely rare in that breed. he has to receive daily medication for the rest of his life and receive a steroid shot once a month, and all that factors $300+ every month. but, it's worth it. he's given the chance to live and sounds like your guy is in the same fortunate situation of being in a loving family.
the proportions are great.
the color scheme is great.
and i love the pug.

They can live with my SPN pins
