The sun was fading fast, but Haydn had no intentions of easing up on the late afternoon 'work' that had to be done. The ground was blotchy and rigid but he dared not to care when crossing into 'enemy' territory. They stood beyond him, fearful and wary of what they saw was more then just a man in a uniform, but a beast.
Though Haydn didn't mind this either. The more they feared them, the happier this made his father, and the happier it would make his 'country'. Recalling this, he stopped amongst them and thrust his right arm out towards the banner alongside the building that loomed behind those who stared. He had no shame for what he was proud of, and even found pleasure in seeing them cringe and salute him in return.
For once, the beast had control.

Another photo of this time just from my World war II photoshoot involving Haydn and Rune. I did a bit of shooping this once, since I don't have a real arm band and the colors are kinda bland. The next picture I upload will be of the brothers together, and then I'll post the rest up on photobucket for those who are curious.
It's for a story I've been working on for the longest time. If people can't come to terms with something that happened over 70 years ago then they have a problem.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
